Our story
Alexis and Ned are honored to steward this very special place along the banks of Craig’s Creek, on Yesan (Tutelo) ancestral lands. We care deeply for the land and love sharing its bounty with our community.
Savage Acres syrup is the best part of Sunday pancakes! Dark gold in color, the perfect consistency, and the must subtly delectable maple flavor we’ve ever had. Cheers to the sugar maples of Craig Creek and thanks to Ned and Alexis for proving that local Virginia syrup is the BEST!

Savage Acres Farm is a pleasure to work with. I have ordered ramps a few times and have been very happy with the product and the service. Not only are they supplying this hard-to-find, delicious native food that I can plant in my own yard, but she is also helping to propagate this sometimes threatened Appalachian food source. And they walked me through the planting step by step. I can’t wait to plant more ramps next spring!
